Not long ago, Huawei Mate50 Pro was testing the mask wearing face unlock function. Today, Huawei officially announced that Huawei Mate50 Pro's mask wearing face recognition function was officially launched.
In the Huawei Mate50 Pro's latest HarmonyOS 3.0.0.156 system, the update log highlights the new mask unlock feature, which allows you to unlock and pay with your phone while wearing a mask. Glasses or makeup can also be recorded, improving the success rate of mask unlock. It's worth noting that Huawei's Mate 50 Pro also supports fingerprint unlocking on the screen, so the mask unlocking feature is a welcome addition for Mate 50 Pro users.
However, note that Huawei Mate50 does not support 3D face recognition and may not be able to use this feature. HarmonyOS 3 will also be released on Huawei P50 and Mate 40 models in late October, but there is no word on whether it will include mask mask unlock.
