In an interview with News 12, Hillary Clinton said: "I will not run for election, but I will continue to work, speak and defend my beliefs."

She also said she did not plan to nominate herself as a governor or a mayor of New York. According to Hillary, she “is helping her own party and enjoying the lives of writers, activists and grandmothers.”

However, in October 2018, Hillary Clinton said that it would not rule out the re-election of the US presidency in 2020. She also said at the time, "I intend to do everything in my power to make the Democrats stay in the White House in January 2021."
