Apple's slimmest laptop is expected to return, along with the full-size HomePod and iMac Pro

While Apple's classic full-size HomePod, 12-inch MacBook, and iMac Pro have all been discontinued, sources say all three will return again in the future, according to MacRumors. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says Apple is considering launching a new 12-inch laptop by 2024.

In 2015, Apple debuted the 12-inch MacBook, an ultra-thin design that weighs only about 900 gigabytes and remains the thinnest of the Macs in its entire lineup. But in 2018, Apple ditched the MacBook line due to performance issues and replaced it with two larger MacBook Air and MacBook Pro lines.

Mark Gurman believes that Apple chose to reboot the 12-inch MacBook line because the M-Series processor, which Apple has developed itself, is able to solve the performance bottleneck of the MacBook's smaller size and fanless design and provide a better user experience.
