The iMac Pro was discontinued in March 2021, when Apple said the 27-inch model was the preferred model for the vast majority of professional iMac users, while Apple also said the Mac Pro was an option for those who needed more performance and scalability. Mark Gurman said he still believes a larger iMac or iMac Pro is in the works and could be available as early as next year. Based on this time frame, the top-of-the-line all-in-one machine is expected to be equipped with M2 Pro and M2 Max chips.

Separately, Mark Gurman claims Apple is working on a new HomePod with the same chip as the rumored S8 for Apple's Apple Watch. He revealed that the new HomePod will be closer to the original HomePod in terms of size and audio performance than the HomePod Mini, and that the new HomePod will have an updated top display (screen). Gurman has also previously reported that Apple is also considering releasing a device that combines the Apple TV, HomePod, and FaceTime camera, though details are unclear.
