An experimental study on the anatomy of frogs in a high school in Florida

According to US media reports, in a high school in Florida, students used artificial frogs for the first time in biology class experiments.

According to reports, syndaver, which developed the synthetic frog, said J.W. Mitchell high school is the first school in the world to try the new technology. Its students dissected nearly 100 synthetic frogs last week. The frogs could be used for teaching, simulated surgery and medical equipment testing, the company said.

Synthetic frogs are designed to mimic the shape and body structure of living female frogs, the report said. They have bones, muscles, skin, organs and even a reproductive system with eggs. Synthetic tissue is made of water, fiber and salt.

"It's safer to dissect than a real frog because it doesn't contain harmful chemicals like formalin," said Christopher sakezles, founder and CEO of syndaver "But at the same time, it's more like a living frog than a preserved frog." It is reported that synthetic frogs can be reused again and again.

An animal protection group estimates that millions of frogs are killed every year for anatomical experiments. "We look forward to schools around the world adopting this state-of-the-art technology, which will not only save millions of frogs, but also be a more effective and safer teaching tool," it said
