Nov 09, 2022| vivo released OriginOS 3, added in situ resuscitation mechanism, unfair scheduling
This afternoon, vivo officially released the OriginOS of the third generation of operating system. The new system continues the design style of the first two generations, with new operating mechanisms such as in-situ resurrection mechanism and unfair scheduling.
According to vivo, OriginOS 3 is equipped with an intellectual computing hub, which aims to achieve unprecedented silky, light and durable smoothness through basic capability breakthrough at the bottom layer, resource scheduling optimization at the middle layer, and visual and control perception upgrade at the top layer
In terms of operation, the new system can fuse memory up to 8G, and the number of background applications with 12G memory can be kept alive up to 34. Users can view storage fragmentation, computing resource usage, and battery health on the mobile phone Health page. The unfair scheduling function can ensure that the foreground process has sufficient computing power and the background process does not preempt, disturb, or block the foreground application. In the scenario of multi-task parallel and high background load, the foreground application is still smooth.
OriginOS 3 also comes with an in-place resuscitation mechanism, which simply records the status of whitelisted apps before they were cleaned up in the background. When users restart the APP, they will return to the page and progress of the last time they quit the app.
