USB PD (USB Power Delivery) is one of the mainstream fast charging protocols. It is a fast charging specification developed by USB-IF organization, which can achieve higher voltage and current, deliver Power up to 100 watts (20V 5A), and change the direction of Power Delivery freely.
With the popularity of USB PD fast charging technology, the charging ports and technologies of mobile phones, tablets and laptops have been integrated and unified. Ending a decades-long dispute over charging standards for consumer digital products. That's what we've been doing with chargers, with Apple, Samsung, Huawei, etc., all jumping on the USB-C bandwagon.
