The new entry-level iPad will have a Retina display with the same screen resolution as the iPad Air

The new entry-level iPad will have a Retina display with the same screen resolution as the iPad Air. The current 9th generation iPad has a 10.2-inch LCD partial fit screen. The new iPad will have a larger screen, however, the more modern display specifications, such as the wide gamut of DCI-P3 and higher brightness, will remain exclusive to the more expensive iPad.
Apple plans to use the A14 Bionic chip to update the iPad. The A14, which was first used in the iPhone 12 series and the fourth-generation iPad Air, will bring faster performance compared to the A13 in existing models.
Along with the updated display and chip, Apple will add 5G connectivity to the iPad, enabling it to connect to 5G networks. There's no word on a design update, so it's unclear whether Apple will add a Touch ID power button or stick with the Home button.
Apple is expected to update its low-cost "iPad" sometime in 2022, probably this fall.
