IP6527 is a step-down converter integrated with synchronous switch, supporting 14 output fast charge protocols, Type-C output and USB PD2.0/PD3.0(PPS) protocol SoC, providing a complete solution for car chargers, fast charge adapters and intelligent plugins.
The IP6527 supports USB Type-C or USB A output, with a total power of 5V/3.6A. The chip has built-in power MOS, the input voltage range is 8.2V to 32V, the output voltage range is 3V to 20V, the maximum output power can provide 45W, can automatically adjust the output voltage and current according to the identified fast charge protocol.
When the IP6527 output 5V/3A, the conversion efficiency of the board is up to 96.5%. The chip has the function of automatic adjustment of overcurrent point. When SCP and low voltage fast charge protocol handshake is successful, 5V/4.5A and 4.5V/5A are supported.
The output of IP6527 has CV/CC characteristics, when the output current is less than the set value, output CV mode, output voltage is constant; When the input current is greater than the set value, the CC mode is output and the output voltage is reduced. The output voltage of the chip has the function of wire complement. When the output current increases, the output voltage will be increased accordingly to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the connection line impedance.
