Southchip SC2021A is a highly integrated Type-C/PD and DPDM fast charge controller. Complies with the latest Type-C and PD 3.0 standards. The chip supports a proprietary high-voltage fast charge protocol, including a set of USB-C interfaces and two sets of DPDM interfaces for 1A+1C dual-port fast charge applications.


Southcore SC2021A internal integration of 32-bit high-performance MCU core, 2.5Kb memory and 32Kb MTP memory, support private fast charge protocol. The SC2021A features an integrated USB PD baseband PHY, Type-C detection, dual DPDM PHY, built-in VBUS discharge path, VCONN power supply, programmable feedback compensation, voltage and current detection, 10-bit ADC, dual 10-bit DACs, and NMOS Gate drivers, I2C interfaces, and guard circuits to minimize external components.



Southcore SC2021A supports multiple protection mechanisms, It includes overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage protection (UVP), overvoltage protection (OCP), short-circuit protection (SCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), DPDM overvoltage protection, CC overvoltage protection, VCONN overvoltage protection, VCONN overcurrent protection, and VCONN short-circuit protection to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the system.


Southchip SC2021A adopts QFN 4*4-32 package. With good protocol compatibility and rich control interface, can be used for car charging and fast charging applications.
