Southcore SC215TA is a Type-C/PD and DPDM fast charge controller with integrated internal feedback compensation. It complies with the latest Type-C and PD 3.0 standards and supports a proprietary high-voltage fast charge protocol with a DPDM interface, primarily for travel adapter applications.
Through the integration of USB PD baseband PHY, Type-C detection, DPDM PHY, VBUS discharge path, VCONN power supply, programmable feedback compensation, voltage and current detection, 10-bit high performance ADC, dual 10-bit DAC, NMOS gate driver, External component drivers, I2C interfaces, and protection circuits are minimized.
In a 16-pin QFN package, the Southcore SC215TA contains a 32-bit high-performance microcontroller core with 24 kbyte OTP and 2kByte RAM, providing a cost-effective solution for many applications.
SC215TA supports a variety of protection mechanisms, including overvoltage protection, undervoltage protection, overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, overtemperature protection, DPDM overvoltage protection, CC overvoltage protection, VCONN overvoltage, VCONN overcurrent and VCONN short circuit protection, effectively ensure the stable and reliable operation of the system
