SONY shipped more than 25 million PS5s in the second quarter

SONY announced today that it shipped 3.3 million units of the PS5 as of September 30, 2022, the same period as the previous fiscal year, bringing the total number of PS5 units shipped worldwide to 25 million. For games, 62.5 million units were sold on PS4 and PS5, 6.7 million of which were first-party titles, with digital accounting for 63% of total sales. In terms of membership subscriptions, the number of PS+ subscription service users may have declined due to the impact of Microsoft XGP. As of September 30, 2022, the number of PS+ members was 45.4 million, down 1.8 million from the same period last year, with 102 million monthly active users.
