As announced on the Sony Group website, as of April 1, 2022, Sony Mobility is officially established. The new company will develop and commercialize a mobile service platform, aiming to contribute to the evolution and development of the mobile space, according to the presentation. The company will also lead the development of autonomous "aibo" entertainment robots, Airpeak professional drones and SociableCart: SC-1 entertainment vehicles. The new company will also continue to support S.IDE, a partnership between SONY and taxi companies to provide safe and reliable transportation services using AI (artificial intelligence) and sensing technologies. In addition to the aforementioned initiatives, the new company will also drive the research and development and commercialization of innovative AI robot products and services.
