PCBA cleaning method
After the PCBA process is completed, there will be a lot of residue on the surface. These residues not only affect the appearance but also the quality of the PCBA. Therefore, PCBA cleaning is very important. There are two ways to clean the PCBA.
First, manual cleaning
Manual cleaning tools include cleaning tanks, spray cans, brushes, IPA or VIGON EFM, gloves, deionized water, rags, air guns and sealed bags.
Manual cleaning procedure:
1. Clean the plate with IPA or VIGON EFM, or spray IPA and EFM onto the surface of the plate at a dose of approximately 10 ml per 4 square inches.
2. Wipe the board continuously with a soft, wet short brush for about 10 seconds.
3. Rinse with about 10 ml of deionized water every 4 square inches. Effectively remove potential contaminant residues.
4. Hold the edge of the board and wipe off any excess deionized water with a lint-free cloth.
5. Visually inspect the cleanliness of the board.
6. If necessary, use a wind gun to dry the board.
7. If it is necessary to store the board or assembly for a period of time prior to coating, place the board or assembly in a sealed bag containing desiccant.
Second, automatic cleaning
The automatic cleaning process can be divided into three methods: water cleaning, semi-aqueous cleaning, and solvent cleaning.
Tools and materials for automatic cleaning are washing machines, deionized water systems, conductivity testers, beakers, deionized water.
Automatic cleaning program:
1. Preparation of deionized water: Deionized water was prepared using an electrodialyzer and an ion exchange resin can.
2. Conductivity test: The electrical conductivity of the water after electrodialysis and ion exchange resin tanks were separately tested using a conductivity tester. Can be used for washing if it meets the requirements of the indicator.
3. Washing machine introduction: Introduce deionized water in the water storage tank into the washing machine.
4. Set the washing machine parameters. The temperature of the rinsing chamber and the rinsing chamber was set to 60 ± 10 °C. The drying chamber is set to 60 ° C to 90 ° C.
5. Set the chain speed. Typical chain speeds are 50-150 cm / min.
6. After completing the PCBA cleaning, remove it from the cleaner and store it in an antistatic replacement container. The anti-static turnover container should be clean and free of dust to avoid secondary pollution to PCBA after cleaning.
