Google's Pixel Watch has been "burned," and Google says it's just a shadow that will fade away

Recently, some users of Google's Pixel Watch have reported a "screen burn" phenomenon, which disappears after a period of time if the screen is turned off. In the case in question, the "burn screen" affected the Pixel Watch (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) after it was used for five days and had AOD enabled for at least 12 hours a day, according to 9to5 Google. You can vaguely see the "Everyday" dial with superimposed numbers and the right circle component on the application list (for dates), or any other gray background that is not all black.

Google responded: "What you're seeing is image residue, which is a non-permanent problem that affects OLED screens. Is not a precursor to, and should not be confused with, burning screen. It will go away, but the longer it is on display, the longer it will take to go away."

It is understood that the Pixel Watch uses an algorithm that moves the illuminated pixels to reduce the phenomenon of residual images. Users can also choose to turn off the screen by turning off steady on or turning on sleep mode before bed.
