Apple iOS 16 Beta 4 released, optimized for iMessages, Home, Mail, and more
Oct 08, 2022| Apple iOS 16 Beta 4 released, optimized for iMessages, Home, Mail, and more
Today Apple launched iOS 16 Beta 4 for developers. The update introduces a number of new features and improvements to iMessages, Home, Mail, lock screen notifications, CarPlay, and more. The official version of iOS 16 will be available with the iPhone 14 line in September.

IMessages Edit and undo functions have been adjusted. To reassure users, Apple has reduced the time it takes to withdraw a message to two minutes, from 15 minutes previously. Apple also limits how much information can be re-edited. After users click on a message, the edit history is displayed, and a message can only be modified a maximum of five times in 15 minutes. In addition, Apple allows users to delete or "undo" iMessages messages within 15 minutes. This is to help fix typos or undo messages sent to the wrong person, but can also be used to cancel harmful messages.
