Apple compromises to India

Apple's spokesperson in India has confirmed that an anti-harassment software called DND, which was developed by the Indian Telecommunications Authority (TRAI) for many years, can be downloaded from the iOS app store.

According to reports, in India, an average person receives more than 10 spam calls and messages every day, and this anti-harassment software developed by the Indian Telecommunications Authority for many years can help mobile phone users intercept unwanted calls and text messages.

However, because this software can access the user's phone and text message, infringing the user's privacy, Apple has always refused the attitude of user privacy.

In July of this year, the Indian Telecommunications Authority threatened Apple. If it could not open the download software, it would ban iPhone from entering the Indian cellular network within 6 months. As the deadline approaches, Apple's spokesperson in India confirmed that the app is already available for download in the iOS app store.

Perhaps because of the tough attitude of India, in addition, Apple also considers the potential of the Indian smartphone market, so in order to avoid risks, they chose to compromise.
