Nov 09, 2022| 18,999 yuan, Nikon released the latest high performance S-type lens, 100-400mm telephoto zoom lens
Last night, Nikon officially launched the Nikon Z9, a full-frame micro camera with a Z bayonet, which uses a stack CMOS image sensor with 45.71 million effective pixels and an EXPEED 7 image processor. It will be available this year at a price of 35,999 yuan. At the same time, Nikon also released the Nikon Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S zoom lens, using the Z bayonet, suitable for Nikon Z series full-frame camera, retail price 18,999 yuan, will be officially launched in December 2021.
Nikon Z 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6 VR S is a high performance S-type lens from Nikon, with a range of focal lengths ranging from 100mm to 400mm. Combined with the Z9's auto-focus upgrade for detecting birds and vehicles, it can capture a wide range of subjects. It is fitted with an extender lens that extends the focal length range to 560mm and 800mm, respectively, at the maximum telephoto end. In addition, the lens uses low dispersion (ED) glass lenses and enhanced low dispersion (ED) lenses to significantly reduce axial chromatic aberration, which is suitable not only for long distance shooting, but also for telephoto and close-up shooting. Nikon's high-performance anti-reflective coating systems -- nanocrystalline coatings and ARNEO (Anti-reflective HD) coatings -- are also used to reduce the impact of incoming light.
With a lightweight design, the lens weighs only 1355g and 1435g including the tripod connection ring, making it easy to carry around for a long time. Equipped with Nikon's new internal balancing technology, the center of gravity of the lens remains almost constant even when the zoom ring is rotated. In terms of video recording, stepper motors are used in the auto focus drive system to achieve quiet auto focus operation and provide natural exposure changes during video recording.
