The USB 3.2 Standard Is Coming Soon, Type-C Will Become The Mainstream

Apr 06, 2018|

Recently I saw a report about the coming of USB 3.2. Compared with USB 3.0/3.1, the speed has increased by one more file, which is another major breakthrough. Type-C will then become a mainstream product and will be replaced step by step. 3.0 and 2.0, if they can be fully promoted, will be exciting and expectable.

It is worth mentioning that the USB Development Day organized by the USB IF will be held in Vancouver for two days. October 24th moved to Chinese Taipei. Many motherboards and control factories in Taiwan will present their new plans.

Type-C

Speed, the use of USB 3.2 host connected to the USB 3.2 storage device, you can achieve two channels 10Gb / s transmission speed, which is more than 2GB / second.

Main technical points of USB 3.2 Type-C:

1. Implement dual channels on existing USB Type-C data lines

2, continue to use the existing SuperSpeed USB physical transmission rate and technology

3. Some minor specification updates to ensure seamless switching between single and dual channels.

It is reported that USB 3.2 is fully backward compatible because it requires integrated USB 2.0 and USB 3.1 masters.

In addition, Type-C will be the only recommended interface scheme since USB 3.2.
