The Prospect Of Voting In The Brexit Agreement Is Not Good
Jan 15, 2019| On the eve of the British Parliament’s forthcoming key vote on Prime Minister Teresa May’s Brexit agreement, Teresa May’s Conservative Party’s party, Gareth Johnson, disagreed with the agreement. On the 14th, he announced his resignation.
Johnson’s letter of resignation to Teresa May wrote: “As a party whip, I have the responsibility to assist the government in implementing the Brexit agreement, but I personally object to this agreement, and I have tried to reconcile the two in the past few weeks.”
Johnson said: "I can't support the government's position because this agreement is obviously detrimental to the interests of the UK."
