How To Choose The Data Line?
May 25, 2018| What kind of data line can be called "good data line"
1. Good data line "interface"
The interface part of the data line is mainly composed of a housing and a contact sheet. Current mainstream data lines will be plated with a thin layer of gold on the contacts to extend the data cable's plug life, avoiding contact plate oxidation leading to unstable charging and transmission. Good data lines, gold plating thickness is generally relatively thick (about 50um), and the general data line will only be plated with a thin layer of gold. Gold plating only solves the problems of stability and longevity, and has little impact on the charging speed.
2. "goods" of the data line
First, the data line has two parts, the inner wire and the outer insulation. For the internal wire (conductor) part: the thicker the better. Because the thicker the wire, the greater the current that can pass, the quicker the charge naturally. In addition, a good quality data cable will also be provided with a layer of aluminum foil to shield out layers and metal braided nets, making the charging and transmission process more stable. So good data lines will be thicker.
However, it should be noted that certain data lines with extreme conscience are not ruled out. Some black-hearted traders intentionally disguised their data lines as good data lines in order to obtain profits. The same thickness of the two data lines, it is possible that the insulation of the A data line is very thin, but the wire inside is very thick; and the quality of the wire inside the B data line is very poor, but simply do the insulation is very thick. Therefore, when we select data lines, we must keep our eyes open. Good data lines must not be too thin, and too thin data lines will certainly not be good.
3, the length of a good data line
Maybe you want the data line you selected to be longer and grow to two or three meters. So you can connect from the desk to the bedside and recharge while playing the king's glory. However, the longer the data line, the greater the line resistance, the more current consumption. The shorter the data line, the higher the charging efficiency. At the same time, too long data lines will generate bit errors due to line noise, which will have a great impact on the data line transmission rate, and will lead to unstable data line transmission.
In summary, when we choose to purchase data lines, we should try to purchase gold-plated, thick-lined, and not too long data lines. Such a good data line can bring us a good charging experience.
