Usually, most people will be cremation or buried after they die, but the cost of cremation is high, and they can use harmful liquids such as antiseptic liquids or consume fossil fuels. The state of Washington, USA, plans to promote a way of burying that is good for the planet to create history.

If US Senator Jamie Pedersen’s proposal is successful, Washington State will become the first state in the United States to allow residents to turn themselves into fertilizer. This is a form of burial called “composting” or “recombination” that breaks down human remains into nutrients that maintain soil vitality and is used to sustain new life.
