Qualcomm will launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor by the end of this year, and if nothing else, Xiaomi should launch a new generation of flagship phones known as the Mi 13 series by the end of this year. Overseas blogger Xiaomi Update Philippines (@miupdateph) posted a photo of what appears to be the Xiaomi 13 Pro on social media. According to the photo, the model is called "nuwa", which is supposed to be the code name for the phone's development. It also uses an eight-core processor with the highest frequency of 3.0GHz, which should be Qualcomm's next generation flagship processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and runs with 12GB+3GB of memory, of which 12GB should be the physical memory capacity, while 3GB is the memory capacity expanded by ROM. More importantly, this phone is equipped with the MIUI 14 development version of the system, based on Android 13 to build, in addition to Xiaomi 13 Pro will also use the hole screen design.
As previously revealed, the Mi 13 will feature a straight screen with four sides and equal frames, while the Mi 13 Pro will feature a 6.7-inch 2K screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Based on the Samsung E6 material, it should be in the top tier in terms of image performance. On the camera front, Xiaomi is expected to bring two versions of the Mi 13: three 50-megapixel cameras and two 50-megapixel and functional camera versions.
It's worth mentioning that @Wang Hua, general manager of Xiaomi's public relations department, responded to the announcement this afternoon by saying, "It's a little hasty." In response to comments, he said the photos were "too fake, the IMEI numbers are all fake". When asked about the progress of the Mi 13 series, he said he had yet to get his hands on a real phone.
