Mfi-certified data cables are hidden inside the Apple certification chip

Nov 30, 2022|

Apple is doing all this for its ecology and the security of Apple products themselves.

Mfi-certified data cables are hidden inside the Apple certification chip, the chip is protected by metal. The authentication chip, along with the iPhone's internal power management chip, makes up the iPhone's charging system. If any of these three parts are not certified and controlled by Apple, the iOS device cannot be charged according to Apple's charging scheme.

The second point is security. The security level of the iPhone is much higher than that of Android, just because Apple is relatively closed and gives very few permissions. Any input device that plugs into the iPhone must be certified by Apple for hardware security as well as software security concerns. Only in this way can we guarantee the security of every user's mobile phone.
