What's the future of car charging technology?

With the rapid development of vehicle charging technology, it is easy to bump if it does not keep up with the trend of the times. If we want to make this trend clear, we need to trace the source first. We need to pick up the current problems of electric vehicles first.

First, mileage anxiety

Because the energy density of power battery is far less than that of gasoline and other chemical fuels, the driving mileage of electric vehicles is relatively short, causing users' mileage anxiety. In order to solve this problem, the most direct way for OEMs is to increase the capacity of the power battery pack. At present, it seems that the power battery capacity of pure electric vehicles with a driving range of more than 400km is about 60-80 kwh. Generally, it takes about 8 hours to supplement electric energy for electric vehicles by slow charging. Obviously, the traditional 3.3kw and 6.6kw car charger capacity can not meet the charging demand of pure electric vehicles at present, so the car charger will have power expansion in the future.

Second, cost price

The direct competitor of electric vehicles is fuel vehicles, but the cost price of electric vehicles is much higher than that of fuel vehicles. When the national and local policy subsidies are gradually reduced, the cost price problem will be the pain point of the popularization and application of electric vehicles, so the cost reduction of the whole vehicle is the primary task of OEMs. In terms of cost reduction from the perspective of vehicle power electronic components, functional integration scheme is an important means and a general trend. For example, the above-mentioned charcon is a typical functional integration solution. Integrating vehicle charger with vehicle high / low voltage converter can save vehicle harness, electrical connector and recovery Water cooling plate and other mechanical structures and core parts, and ultimately reduce the cost of the whole vehicle.

Third, charging convenience

As we all know, automatic driving and intelligent car are the most popular in the field of automobile at present, which also indicates the development direction of the automobile industry in the future. For the charging process of electric vehicles, automatic driving and intelligent are all available, and it is certain that the plug-in can no longer be artificially applied. On the other hand, as an alternative vehicle, people have higher and higher requirements for its convenience. The simpler it is to use it, the better it is. Obviously, the plug-in process violates people's demands for convenience. Therefore, wireless charging technology without human operation has not been developed. In fact, the principle of wireless charging system is similar to that of traditional conductive charging system, except that the original and secondary sides of the traditional transformer are separated into two independent magnetic energy coils, and the topology compensation circuit is added additionally, and the resonance control method is adopted. The biggest difference between the wireless charging system and the conductive charging system is that the wireless charging system is divided into the vehicle end and the non vehicle end. The energy transmission between the two is realized by the alternating magnetic field coupling between the two magnetic energy coils, which replaces the wires used in the conductive charging and realizes the wireless charging function.
