USB4 is the latest generation of USB transfer standard. It is backward compatible with USB 2.0, USB 3.2, and Thunderbolt 3. In fact, it is based on Thunderbolt 3 and adds the supplement and development of USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 standards.
USB4 has two transmission bandwidths, one is 20Gbps and the other is 40Gbps.

Supports a maximum bandwidth of 40Gbps
Only one physical port is USB Type-C
Supports dynamic bandwidth allocation

Only one physical port on the USB4 is USB Type-C. On the transmission link, USB4 divides different "tunnels" to transmit data, and can "dynamically allocate bandwidth". According to the real-time situation of each "tunnel", the bandwidth of each part can be dynamically adjusted. Currently, data transmission (USB 3.2 tunnel), video transmission (DisplayPort 1.4A tunnel), and optional tunnel (PCI-E tunnel) are supported.
