What is the type of Apple data cable interface?

There are two types of charging ports:

The first kind: Apple mobile phone iPhone4s and before the use of 30 pin big interface, that is, three in one data line.

The second type: iPhone5 and later models adopt the 8-pin (Lightning port) Lightning port, which supports the reverse and reverse plug, and has a small appearance.

Lightning port Features:

The Lightning port has 8-pin contacts on both sides and doesn't have either front or back, so it works no matter how you plug it in. So you don't have to worry about the reverse insertion anymore. Apple also officially claims that the new interface is not only easier to use, but also more durable.

The new Lightning port is an "all-digital" port with "adaptive capabilities." "Adaptive" means that it can communicate the specific signals required by the accessories through the interface according to the different accessories. Like the previous 30-pin Dock, the new Lightning port also supports video output. It's also because of this feature that Apple was able to launch the Lightning to HDMI/VGA converter.

Another big advantage of the Lightning port is size. It's 80% smaller than the original 30-pin interface, which means you'll have at least 80% less space on your device to set aside for it.
