Waterproof fans and moisture-proof fans have been a technical problem faced by many manufacturers of axial brushless fans. Due to the wide application of PVD technology in the semiconductor industry, this technology was finally cited in the waterproof fan industry. This technique uses PVD weather deposition technology to vaporize the water repellent material at high temperatures, slowly deposit it on the motor surface at low temperatures, and ultimately form a very strong protective layer on the motor surface. The protective layer does not decompose when exposed to water. Strong, basically do not be afraid of external forces. However, since the motor and the outside world are moved by wires, the protective layer has a strong hardness. In the assembly process, it is necessary to bend the motor and the electric wire connection part, which is easily broken and difficult to repair. The failure rate is 50%. Therefore, in the experiment for waterproofing the fan, first, water enters the PCB substrate from the wire bonding point, and the pins of the electronic component are short-circuited. This technology is also widely used in high humidity, no fluid water connection, and the protection class can reach IP55.
Resin sealing technology has evolved from the first two moisture-proof technologies. This technology specializes in making a separate mold for the motor. For waterproof and moisture-proof treatment, put the motor in a mold and pour low concentration epoxy resin into the vacuum. Epoxy resin enters the motor at each corner of the motor in a vacuum. After complete filling, it is dried to form an overall three-dimensional plastic. There is no way to see the motor structure out. The motor is completely sealed. The motor can work for a long time under tide and water. The dried epoxy resin no longer chemically reacts with water. Moisture resistant grade IP68.
