Some media outlets have suggested that Apple could get rid of the USB-C requirement by making a no-port iPhone. As it stands, the USB-C iPhone will arrive sooner than the no-port iPhone.
Apple could use USB-C with its iPhone 15 as soon as next year, according to Skywind analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, which could benefit from faster charging and file transfers Bloomberg's Mark Gurman also says Apple is already internally testing a USB-C iPhone prototype.
As for this year's iPhone 14, leaked CAD drawings show that it will still have a full Lightning port, and rumor has it that the transfer speed will be improved.
Then again, the new EU rules, in addition to forcing the iPhone to switch ports, also affirm Apple's environmental actions and justify the removal of the charger. According to the regulation, the chargers of mobile phones and other devices can be sold separately from the body in the future.
