UFCS quick charge standard for iPhone14 pro Max
Oct 06, 2022| UFCS quick charge standard for iPhone14 pro Max
FCA (Fast Charging Alliance) members cover semiconductors, chips, plants, terminals, and more. With more than 100 members, the FCA has entered a new phase, basically covering all types of players in the Fast Charging industry. This is undoubtedly a great recognition of the value of FCA.
UFCS (Universal Fast Charging Specification) Converged Fast Charging protocol is led by ICT, Huawei, OPPO, Vivo, and Xiaomi. The new generation fusion fast charge protocol is completed by joint efforts of many terminal, chip enterprises and industry partners, such as Siliconjie, Swizhi, Lihui Technology and Onbao Electronics. The purpose of this protocol is to establish the standard of converged fast charging for mobile terminals, solve the incompatibility problem of mutual fast charging, and create a fast, safe and compatible charging environment for terminal users.
According to UFCS quick charge specification, the standard adopts continuous regulation mode, and the output voltage is divided into four programmable gears (5V, 10V, 20V and 30V) (similar to PPS voltage regulation). Among them, the programmable voltage range of 5V gear is 3.4V-5.5V, the programmable voltage range of 10V gear is 5.5V-12V, the programmable voltage range of 20V gear is 12V-21V, and the programmable voltage range of 30V voltage is 21V-36V.
In order to accelerate the standardization development of terminal fast charging technology, based on the content of UFCS technical specifications and test methods of 2021 version, and combined with the feedback of FCA member units in product development and testing, especially the problems found in the test process of the first plug and unplug conference
