Jan 07, 2020| Ubuntu Unicorn UKUI 3.0 Advance Edition Coming Soon
At the "Ubuntu 19.10 Release Party" at the end of October this year, Liu Min, head of the Unicorn Community, shared the theme of the "UKUI Lightweight Desktop Environment" and launched a newly designed and developed UKUI 3.0 desktop environment. On the last day of 2019, Unicorn officially reviewed the busy 2019 and preheated the new content for 2020.
Youkilin released the UKUI3.0 Advanced Edition on-line notice today: The new UKUI3.0 Advanced Edition will adhere to the "friendly and easy to use, simple and easy" design philosophy, and will build a bridge for ordinary users towards Linux. At the same time, in addition to holding a release party and a technical exchange meeting in 2020, a grand "Unicorn 20.04 User Conference" is expected to be held for 20.04LTS, and everyone is welcome to give more ideas and suggestions.

In 2019, two official versions of Unicorn 19.04 and 19.10 were officially released, as well as four updated versions (18.04.3, 16.04.6, 14.04.6, 19.10.1). The desktop environment UKUI has been fully upgraded, adding new features such as timed shutdown, file preview, and similar window merge. It also supports cool effects such as transparent settings and real-time theme switching. The application of the control panel and software center has been completely revised, making it more friendly and easy to use. A large number of bugs have been fixed to continuously improve the system stability; and a new generation of desktop environment has been actively explored.

What is UKUI?
UKUI is a lightweight Linux desktop environment. It is developed based on GTK and QT, and has received extensive attention at home and abroad. It has been used by default on the Unicorn open source operating system.
