Types of annexes

There are many kinds of cable accessories with different characteristics and limitations, which can not be replaced each other. The common ones are as follows:

(1) wrapping type: the cable accessories made by wrapping the rubber strip (self-adhesive) on site are called wrapping type cable accessories, which are easy to loosen, have poor fire resistance and short service life;

(2) pouring type: the thermosetting resin is used as the main material to be poured on site. The selected materials include epoxy resin, polyurethane, acrylic resin, etc. the fatal disadvantage of this kind of accessories is that bubbles are easy to occur during curing;

(3) molding type: it is mainly used for the middle connection of cables, adding mold and heating on site, and integrating with cables. The manufacturing process of this accessory is complex and takes a long time, and it is not suitable for the terminal joint;

(4) cold shrinkage type: it is formed by pre expanding and adding plastic support strip in the factory with elastomer such as silicone rubber and EPDM. In the field construction, the supporting strip is drawn out to make the pipe shrink on the cable under the inherent elastic effect of rubber, and the cable accessories are made. The accessories are most suitable for the construction sites that can not be heated by open fire, such as mines, petrochemical industry, etc;

(5) heat shrinkable type: accessories made of rubber plastic alloy made of different components with "shape memory effect, which are heated and shrunk on the cable on site. The accessory has the advantages of light weight, simple and convenient construction, reliable operation and low price;

(6) prefabricated type: it is an accessory made by injecting silicone rubber into different components, one-time curing and forming, only keeping the contact interface, and inserting the cable in the field construction. The construction process reduces the unmeasurable adverse factors in the environment to the lowest level, so the accessories have great potential use value and are the development direction of cross-linked cable accessories, but the manufacturing technology is difficult, involving many disciplines and industries. The installation materials of prefabricated accessories under the Trident and shielding ports of cables are still heat shrinkable materials, so they are actually the combination of prefabricated and heat shrinkable.
