The safety requirement of electronic products is very important
Oct 02, 2022| Lithium-ion batteries used in mobile phones, laptops, tablets, e-books, power tools, cleaning robots, electric toothbrushes, outdoor power supplies and other products commonly used by our consumers in daily life may all be covered by the "electronic and electrical products" referred to in this article 31. Most of these products are placed in the bedroom, living room, safety requirements are crucial.
Second, Article 31 does not specify "portable" lithium-ion batteries, while the previous GB 31241 only applies to lithium-ion batteries used in "portable" electronics. The fixed electronic devices specified in GB 40165-2021, another mandatory national standard for the Safety of Lithium ion Batteries and Battery Packs for Fixed Electronic Devices, released last year, include:
A) Stationary information technology equipment (IT equipment);
B) Stationary audio and video equipment (AV equipment) and similar equipment;
C) Stationary communication technology equipment (CT equipment);
D) Stationary measurement control and laboratory electronic equipment and similar equipment;
Lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) and emergency power supply (EPS) are also suitable.
If No. 31 refers to more than portable batteries, then lithium-ion batteries and battery packs for data centers, monitoring centers, communication base stations, satellite positioning base stations, UPS, EPS and other uses may also be considered by the CCC.
With the maturity and popularization of 5G and mobile Internet technology, China has come to the forefront of the world in this field, and become the world's most major consumer electronics research and development and manufacturing country. Chinese intelligent manufacturing has swept the world. Consumer electronics require at least one battery inside, and sometimes as many as two or more. More than billions of smart terminals are shipped every year, and lithium-ion batteries are in great demand and have broad prospects. The consumer electronic products that you use with you will also be carried on airplanes, high-speed trains and other transportation vehicles, and the requirements for safety are self-evident.
