The mass production of TSMC's 3nm process has been delayed again

TSMC was supposed to start manufacturing chips using its 3nm process nodes last month, however according to a new report from Seeking Alpha, TSMC's 3nm chip production has been delayed until the fourth quarter of 2022. Samsung, on the other hand, stole a march on TSMC by starting production of chips using 3nm process nodes in June. Even if TSMC starts producing 3nm chips this month, Samsung is still three months ahead. But apart from Google Tensor, Samsung's 3nm process has yet to win big orders from tech giants, while TSMC has plenty of potential customers and Apple and Intel are expected to compete for its first batch of production.
