The iPhone 14 series will be upgraded to 30W fast charge: Apple's fastest so far! Forces you to spend money on a new charger
Sep 27, 2022| There was a saying before that the advantages of Android over Apple are now mainly reflected in system freedom (such as APP dual opening, call recording, etc.) and fast battery charging. It does make some sense to think about it.
A blogger broke the news that some accessory manufacturers have sent samples of Apple's 30W GaN (gallium nitride) USB-C charger to the media, claiming to be specially designed for the iPhone 14.
Obviously, this means that the rated fast charging power of the iPhone 14 series will be increased to 30W.
Another confirmed information is that the other end of the supporting data cable is Lightning, which means that the iPhone 14 series will still use the Lightning interface, which may be a swan song.
Since the iPhone 12, Apple no longer comes with a charging head, and the previous largest is the 18W head (iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max). In fact, the nominal fast charging power of the iPhone 13 series is 18W, but for the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it can actually support up to 27W.
However, users have to accept the fact that if they want the iPhone 14 to be fully charged, they must buy a new 30W+ charger that supports the USB PD protocol.
