Terminology of high voltage electrical equipment
1. High voltage switch - electrical appliances with rated voltage of 1kV and above are mainly used for opening and closing conductive circuit.
2. High voltage switchgear - the general term for the connection of high voltage switchgear, control, measurement, protection, regulation devices, accessories, shell, supporting parts and their electrical and mechanical components.
3. Indoor high-voltage switchgear - the high-voltage switchgear that is not windproof, rain, snow, ice and thick frost, and is suitable for installation in the construction site.
4. Outdoor high-voltage switchgear - it can withstand the effects of wind, rain, snow, pollution, condensation, ice and thick frost, and is suitable for outdoor use.
5. Metal enclosed switchgear; switchgear - other switchgear completely enclosed by grounded metal enclosure, except for the incoming and outgoing lines.
6. Armored metal enclosed switchgear - the metal enclosed switchgear whose main components (such as circuit breaker, transformer, bus, etc.) are respectively installed in the compartment separated by grounded metal partition.
7. Bay or metal enclosed switchgear - like armored metal enclosed switchgear, some of its components are also sub packed in separate compartments, but with one or more non-metallic partitions meeting a certain degree of protection.
8. Box type metal enclosed switchgear - metal enclosed switchgear other than armored and interval type metal enclosed switchgear.
9. Inflatable metal enclosed switchgear - a metal enclosed switchgear with one of the following pressure systems in the compartment to protect the gas pressure.
A. controllable pressure system; B. closed pressure system; C. sealed pressure system.
10. Insulated enclosed switchgear - other switchgear completely enclosed by an insulated enclosure, except for the incoming and outgoing lines.
11. Combined electrical apparatus - a device that combines two or more kinds of high-voltage electrical apparatus into an organic whole according to the main wiring requirements of the power system, while the famous electrical apparatus still maintains the original specified functions.
12. Gas insulated metal enclosed switchgear - enclosed switchgear, at least some of which use gas higher than atmospheric pressure as insulation medium.
13. Circuit breaker - the switchgear that can close, carry and open the normal current of the operation circuit, and can also close, carry and open the specified overload current (including short circuit current) within the specified time.
14. Sulfur hexafluoride circuit breaker - the circuit breaker whose contact is closed and opened in sulfur hexafluoride gas.
15. Vacuum circuit breaker - a circuit breaker whose contacts close and open in vacuum.
16. Disconnector - in the opening position, the insulation distance and obvious disconnection mark between contacts meet the specified requirements; in the closing position, it can carry the current under the normal circuit conditions and the current switchgear under the abnormal conditions (such as short circuit) within the specified time.
17. Earthing switch - a mechanical switching device used to ground the circuit. Under abnormal conditions (such as short circuit, the specified abnormal current can be carried within the specified time; under normal circuit conditions, the current is not required to be carried.
18. Load switch - a switching device capable of closing, carrying and breaking current under normal circuit conditions and carrying current within specified time under specified abnormal circuit conditions (such as short circuit conditions).
19. Contactor - except for manual operation, there is only one rest position, which can close, carry and open the opening and closing devices of normal current and specified overload current.
20. Fuse - a switching device that, when the current exceeds the specified value for a certain period of time, melts with the heat generated by itself and opens the circuit.
21. Current limiting fuse - a fuse that, when operated within the specified current range, limits the current to a value lower than the expected current peak with its own functions.
22. Jet fuse - a fuse that extinguishes an arc by the jet of gas produced by the arc energy.
23. Drop type fuse - a fuse that automatically drops the fuse carrier after action to form a fracture.
24. Lightning arrester - a kind of over-voltage limiting protective device, which is used to protect the insulation of equipment from over-voltage.
25. Gapless MOA - MOA composed of non-linear MOA resistors in series and / or in parallel and without or in series with discharge gap.
26. Gapless metal oxide arrester with composite sheath - gapless arrester composed of nonlinear metal oxide resistor and corresponding parts and components and with composite insulating material as its sheath.
