Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 chip released

Qualcomm today unveiled its next-generation XR2+ Gen 1 chip. The Snapdragon XR series has been used in mixed reality (MR) and virtual reality (MR) end products. The newly released Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 chip is an updated version of Snapdragon XR2, with 50% more battery life and 30% more heat dissipation. In addition, the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 also allows for more concurrent multimedia and sensing technology, enabling full sensory interaction. Qualcomm said several Oems will announce commercial devices based on the Snapdragon XR2+ by the end of 2022, and Meta Quest Pro is the first to feature the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 1 chip.
