Oct 10, 2022| Samsung is developing a special processor for Galaxy phones, which is expected to be released in 2025
Early last month, Roh Tae-moon, president of Samsung's mobile business, revealed that the company was planning to build a new processor chip to meet demand for Galaxy devices, according to BusinessKorea. Now, there is new information about the series of chips.
Samsung is said to be planning its own custom chipset for the 2025 Galaxy S series. Although it is the same flagship chip as the current Exynos series chipset, it is not "tailor-made" for Galaxy S. The chips were even sold to other smartphone makers such as MOTOROLA for use.

Samsung plans to build a Galaxy S series of exclusive chip news, recently has been confirmed by many media and industry veterans. Meanwhile, insiders say that Samsung executives are deeply dissatisfied with the GOS scandal of Galaxy S22 series and the low yield of Exynos 2200 chip.

As a result, Samsung Content is actively discussing plans to introduce a similar approach to Apple's own chip. The ultimate goal is to make devices better optimized and better to use by building proprietary chips.

Despite shutting down its core custom CPU unit in December 2019, Samsung is now "determined" to continue its efforts in the chip space. However, there is still relatively little information about this series of chips. It's unclear, for example, whether the new chipsets will be part of the Exynos line, or whether Samsung will start using entirely new chipsets.
