Samsung held its SDC22 developer conference, and the official version of One UI 5.0 will be available later this month

Samsung held its 2022 Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) last night, unveiling its future plans and ideas in the field of intelligence. Among them, SmartThings capability will be applied in more intelligent products to improve the connectivity of smart home, and will be integrated with Matter to expand the coverage of smart ecology. Bixby will also integrate deeply with SmartThings and support users in more regions and languages; Samsung will launch Knox Matrix1 blockchain platform to better secure Samsung devices.

In addition, Samsung announced on SDC22 that the official version of One UI 5 based on Android 13 will be launched this month, and the Galaxy S22 series will be the first to experience it.

So far, Samsung has released four beta updates in select markets and three beta updates for its China release. Since it's already mid-October, expect Samsung S22 series users to receive an official push soon if there are no official ticket jumps.
