Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 outer screen film exposure, using folder shape

As usual, Samsung usually launches a new generation of folding-screen phones at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in the second half of each year. As the release time approaches, there has been a lot of information about Samsung's new generation of folding-screen phones.
Previously, the render graph of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 appeared on the Internet. Combined with the render graph, the outer screen of Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 adopts a new "folder" design, and the outer screen size has increased a lot, covering almost the entire upper half of the shell body.

A few days ago, the source Ice universe exposed the outer screen film of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, further confirming that it will use the "folder" design of the outer screen.

 

It has also previously revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 will be equipped with a 3.4-inch external screen with a resolution of 720 * 748 and a pixel density of 305 ppi.

 

 

Another leak said that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 measures about 165 x 71.8 x 6.7mm when unfolded, and the inner screen measures 6.7 inches.
For comparison, the previous-generation Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 was 165.2 x 71.9 x 6.9mm when unfolded, with a 6.7-inch inner screen and a 1.9-inch outer screen.

 

 

The larger exterior screen is expected to provide more features, such as viewing notifications, music controls, and other basic functional interactions.

In terms of video, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 will have a front-facing 10 million pixel camera, and a dual camera arranged horizontally at the rear, each with a 12 million pixel wide-angle lens, supporting Dual Pixel PDAF technology and a 12 million pixel ultra-wide-angle lens. Although the front-facing camera of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 has not been upgraded, due to Samsung's enlarged external screen size, users can use the main camera to take selfies.

 

 

In terms of hinges, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 is expected to adopt a new "water drop" hinge design. It is reported that the "water drop" hinge can realize the complete closure of the screen after folding, providing a softer bending curve for the screen, thereby alleviating screen creases and reducing the risk of screen cracking.

For comparison, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 is equipped with 6.2-inch external screen, 7.6-inch internal screen, support 120 Hz refresh rate; equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 + chip; rear 50 million wide-angle camera, 12 million ultra-wide-angle lens, 10 million 3x optical zoom telephoto camera combination, the outer screen 10 million selfie camera, the inner screen adopts 4 million under-screen camera; built-in 4400mAh battery, support 25W fast charging.

 

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 has been upgraded mainly in terms of hinges and performance.
