Older models like the iPhone 5S get the iOS 12 update

Today, Apple released iOS 12.5.6 for older iphones, which is Apple's first update to iOS 12 since September 2021. According to Apple, the update is available for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3 and iPod touch (6th generation). Apple also revealed that the update fixes an issue with "maliciously crafted Web content that can cause arbitrary code execution," which Apple is aware may have been actively exploited. The oldest model to receive the update this time is the iPhone 5S, which was released on September 10, 2013, and removed from Apple's website on March 27, 2016, nine years after its release.
