Next up is the iPhone SE 4, which is clearly the small-screen flagship everyone wants.

According to 9to5Mac, today's Display Supply Chain Consulting (DSCC) analyst Ross Young has another update on the iPhone SE 4.

He said Apple has yet to determine the screen configuration of the iPhone SE 4, which is scheduled to launch in 2024, and is considering whether to use a 6.1-inch OLED display or a 5.7-to 6.1-inch LCD screen.

That doesn't match what Jon Prosser posted. Jon Prosser sees the iPhone SE 4's design as almost identical to the iPhone XR's, and has released a rendering of the iPhone SE 4.

It looks like an iPhone XR rendering, but it doesn't seem to be a problem. In short, isn't it beautiful that the iPhone SE finally gets a full screen design?

These two plans may fundamentally determine the iPhone SE's positioning. After all sweet or not sweet.

The 6.1-inch OLED option seems like a long shot -- isn't it the same as a positive digital series like the iPhone 14? That's so bad.

OLED screens are more expensive than the LCD displays found on the current iPhone SE. Given the iPhone SE's positioning as the cheapest iPhone, this always feels like a cost increase.

The 5.7-6.1-inch LCD display is much more realistic, and the buzz is quite high. There is no lack of LCD screen believers, "LCD will never be a slave!"

With the increasing popularity of OLED display, the marginalization trend of LCD screen in smartphone display has been basically irreversible. Now some domestic 1000 yuan machine, have used OLED screen, color and brightness is better, high-end mobile phones are all OLED screen.
