McDonald's over $300 million acquisition of a technology company

McDonald's announced on Monday the acquisition of a technology company in Israel, the largest deal in 20 years, to continue to push its business in the United States to the digital age.


The company said it has agreed to acquire Dynamic Yield, a company focused on personalization and decision logic technology that will allow McDonald's restaurants to change menus based on different factors, such as weather and current restaurant traffic.


McDonald's did not disclose the price of the acquisition, according to people familiar with the matter, the transaction value of more than 300 million US dollars, is the largest acquisition of McDonald's in 20 years.


McDonald's CEO Steve Eastbrook said in a statement: "With this acquisition, we will expand our ability to improve the role of technology and data in our future, and we will create a more personalized experience for our customers. The speed of the vision."
