Mac or touch screen? Apple executives say I don't know.
Oct 27, 2022| Mac or touch screen? Apple executives say "I don't know."
According to reports by foreign media, MacRumors reporter Sami Fathi said on social media that Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing, replied, "I can't say." The vague comment could hint at a future touch-screen version of the Mac.
In fact, back in June, a set of new Apple patents was published in the media. Apple's suite of patents also includes a touch screen version of the MacBook, which it hopes will bring a new experience with the touch screen and stylus. Given the number of designers who currently use Mac devices, it may be possible in the future to do simple creations directly on the screen instead of the tablet.
Steve Jobs, the former CEO and co-founder of Apple, said he didn't like the idea of a Mac with a touch screen and explained the possible inconvenience caused by the design. "We've done a lot of testing and it turns out that touch screens don't work......," he says Soon you will feel tired, and after some time, your hand will drop. That [touch-screen Mac] won't work. The ergonomics are terrible."
