How the fuse works
When a current flows through the conductor, the conductor will heat up due to the presence of a certain resistance of the conductor. And the calorific value follows this formula: Q = 0.24I2RT; where Q is the calorific value, 0.24 is a constant, I is the current flowing through the conductor, R is the resistance of the conductor, and T is the time at which the current flows through the conductor.
When the fuse is energized, the heat of the current will increase the temperature of the melt. When the normal working current or the allowable overload current is applied, the heat generated by the current and the radiation/convection/conduction through the melt, the casing and the surrounding environment. The heat dissipated in the same way can gradually reach equilibrium; if the heat dissipation rate cannot keep up with the heating rate, the heat will gradually accumulate on the melt, causing the temperature of the melt to rise, and once the temperature reaches and exceeds the melting point of the melt material, It is liquefied or vaporized to break the current and provide a safe protection for the circuit and the human body.
