On March 22, 2022, Power Integrations, a well-known power chip brand in the industry, held an online media conference and officially released the high-efficiency quasi-resonant PFC controller HiperPFS-5 and LLC chip combination HiperLCS-2 to meet the growing demand for high-power fast charging source applications in the market.
Based on PI's new PFC+LLC architecture, the power supply product can achieve up to 270W of power output. This is enough to cope with the current USB PD3.1 fast charging standard of the highest 240W output application, and this set of solutions to ensure high efficiency, but also to achieve a streamlined peripheral circuit design, for high-power USB PD fast charging appliances and other high-power power products to provide a high-performance solution.
