Oct 08, 2022| Google Play has been downloaded more than 50 million times on iOS 16, giving Android users an early taste of the new iPhone system
It's no surprise that Android users are already getting a taste of the new iPhone system before iOS 16 is released next month. The Google Play store shows that a themed app called "Launcher iOS 16" has been downloaded more than 50 million times. The app mimics iOS 16's home screen, desktop widgets, Dock bar, and even the wobbly effect of dragging ICONS.

This is not the first time the app has been available on the Google Play store. Since iOS 13 and every subsequent major iOS release, it has been updated to keep up with the latest iOS theme designs.
The launcher comes with a full set of iOS ICONS, covering messages, memos, cameras and more. In addition to the standard Android experience, it also supports customizing the categories of apps in the app library, adjusting home screen animations, easily renaming apps, and more, which iOS doesn't support. It comes down a little short on plugins and doesn't include the custom lock screen of iOS 16.

In addition, the launcher provides users with many customization features that are not available on the iPhone, such as the ability to customize the categories of applications in the application library, adjust the home screen animations, easily rename applications, and more.

Android is still the most widely used mobile operating system in the world. According to Statista, Android has 69.74% of the global market share this year, compared with 25.49% for iOS. Android's share has been declining for the past four years, from a high of 77.32% in July 2018.
