Stepper motors accelerate from 0 to working speeds (typically several hundred revolutions per minute) from 200 to 200 milliseconds. The excellent acceleration performance of the AC servo system, such as a 400 watt servo motor to the mountains from static acceleration to a rated speed of 3000 RPM, takes only a few milliseconds and can be used for quick start / stop control opportunities.
