The protocol chip used by Xiaomi's 30W fast charge charger has silk-screened the logos of two brands, Xiaomi and Inset Core, with the model IP2718. It is understood that this chip was jointly customized by Xiaomi and the well-known domestic chip brand Yingjixin; it is also through this highly customized chip that the USB-A interface of Xiaomi's 30W fast charge charger has the USB PD fast charge function.
Inscore has therefore become the first Chinese chip manufacturer to enter the original USB PD fast charge charger for mobile phones. An important milestone.
Under the control of IP2718, Xiaomi's 30W fast charge charger with matching USB-A to USB-C cable can achieve USB PD3.0 fast charge output, and has 5V / 3A, 9V / 3A, 15V / 1.8A, 20V / 1.35A four fixed voltage gears. At the same time, the chip also sets a special voltage range: 10 / 3A, which is mainly used to identify Xiaomi's own fast charge protocol.
It is understood that Xiaomi's custom IP2718 fast charge protocol chip, which has performance close to that of Incore IP2726, is a fast charge IC that integrates multiple protocols for USB output ports and supports PD2.0 and PD3. 0, QC3.0, QC2.0, FCP, AFC, SCP, MTK PE +, Apple2.4A, BC1.2, and Samsung 2A. It has the characteristics of high integration and rich functions. Only a few peripheral devices are needed in the application, which effectively reduces the size of the overall solution and reduces the BOM cost.
It was further learned that before customizing the fast-charge chip IP2718 with Xiaomi, Yingjixin has already become the main supplier of fast-charge chips for Xiaomi 9 original charger and Nokia original charger. At the same time, other series of chips have also been adopted by Fortune 500 companies such as Huawei, Samsung, Bosch, Gree, and received good market feedback. In the context of the Sino-US trade war, the domesticization process of domestic brands has been accelerating. It is believed that the solution of Yingjixin will become the first choice for more brands in the future.
