Card reader classification
The card reader is divided into contact card reader, non-contact card reader, single interface card reader, double interface card reader and multi card seat contact card reader.
From the interface point of view, the card reader mainly includes: parallel port card reader, serial port card reader, USB card reader, Ethernet RJ45 card reader, pcmica card reader and IEEE 1394 card reader. The first two kinds of readers have been basically eliminated because of their slow interface speed or inconvenient installation. USB card reader is the most popular card reader in the market at present. Ethernet RJ45 card reader has been paid more and more attention because it can realize remote control by Ethernet. Pcmica card reader is mainly used in notebook computer, while IEEE 1394 card reader is not widely used because of its supported interface.
The card reader can be divided into two types from the card reading protocol, one is 485 card reader and the other is Wigan card reader. Wigan 26 and 34 are conventional agreements.
The card reader can be divided into IC card reader and ID card reader. The IC card reader is a non-contact IC card reading and writing device. It connects with the PC through the USB interface. It is powered by a single 5V power supply or by the keyboard interface. It supports all functions of accessing the RF card. This series of equipment is applied to the card issuing system of access control, attendance, meeting attendance, expressway, tourism, parking lot, public transportation charge, shopping mall consumption, membership system and various application systems.
ID card reader is used to read ID card. The reader supports plug and play, and can be unplugged and unplugged at will during use without additional power supply. Users do not need to load any drivers. Windows system directly regards it as a HID device keyboard. After the USB port of the computer is connected to the card reader, the card reader starts self checking and initialization with a sound of "drop", and then the initialization succeeds with a sound of "drop", and enters the waiting card swiping state.
ID card reader is used in data entry, information query, Internet bar registration, book borrowing, meeting check-in, access control and other occasions.
